Singing in the Rain at Matthews Farmers' Market

Here is the crew that made it out despite the thunderstorms on July 12th.  We had fun singing all of the rain songs we could think of and then singing some of our favorites.

And here we are leading a sing along before the Charlotte Folk Society Member Showcase in May at the Great Aunt Stella Center.

Lean on Me

Here is the YouTube link for "Lean on Me" that I promised last night.  Try singing along with your harmony part.

Charlotte Folk Society Pot Luck Dinner

This crowd can sing!

Hallelujah

I found this great YouTube of Leonard Cohen singing his song "Hallelujah".  I love the way the chorus comes in with the hallelujahs.  The Shrek vesion leaves out two of the verses that we sang with Dale last week and they are my favorites.  Here is a YouTube lesson I have posted with the chord progression and some harmonies for the hallelujahs.

Dona Nobis Pacem

Here are several recordings and YouTube's that might be of interest to you:

"Dona Nobis Pacem"

This is what I recorded last night at practice.

"Pachelbel's Canon"

This is a lesson that I posted on my blog a while ago of the warm up that we have been singing in practice.

"Kappee"

This is the Finish song we are working on if you'd like to hear it performed by the group who wrote it.  Their name is Varttina.
