Galway Bay parts

"Galway Bay" is a challenging piece, but it will be well worth the effort when we have learned it.  Thank you to David for making these recordings that "sing" the words...very cool.  It is helpful to have your music with you when you listen so you can follow your part.  If you prefer hearing the parts with a piano voice, click here or scroll down to the post that says "midi files of Galway Bay" where you will find the recording Laura did last October.  Again, thanks to Laura and David for making these recordings.  It is very tedious work keying in all of that music.

new practice location

This week we will start practicing at Liberty Nursing and Rehab Center, 3700 Shamrock Drive, Charlotte, 28215 (map).  Note that you turn into Liberty directly from Shamrock Drive.  This building is not part of Aldersgate.  It is a six story building with a cross at the top (left from when it was part of Aldersgate) and a huge open lawn in front.  There is plenty of parking in the front and on the sides.  Go in the front door and the practice room is to your left from the main lobby.

midi files for Galway Bay

Thank you, Laura, for making these midi files of "Galway Bay".  It is great to get to hear all of the parts working together.  All eight parts are included on each file, but the name of the file tells which part is louder.  This will help you hear how your part fits with the whole piece.
